I have been immersed in accounting since 1980, and after earning my Chartered Accountant designation in 1985, I established my own practice in 1987. After 45 years in the field, I have made the decision to retire and sell my practice.

Last fall, I reviewed over 20 CPA firms and ultimately selected Ali Ladha, the owner of Vertical CPA Professional Corporation. Ali has 15 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Analyst, and has been successfully running his own cloud-based accounting firm for several years. Vertical CPA specializes in cloud-based bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services. This allows clients to focus on managing their businesses, while Vertical CPA handles everything else, including payroll. This model provides clients with up-to-date accounting information throughout the year, so they can assess their business’s profitability instead of waiting until year-end.

As of January 31, 2025, Mr. Ladha has taken over my office space and acquired my entire staff, all of whom have stayed onto work with him at Vertical CPA. Ryan Mendoza, Rezaul Karim, and Danish Ashraf will continue to handle their respective clients. Thus, the change in ownership, will not impact you at all. The firm now has a team of nine, including Mr. Ladha. I will continue to assist Mr. Ladha and his team as a technical advisor for the foreseeable future, ensuring a smooth transition and helping to meet clients’ needs.
